Legendary actor Hugh Bonneville is famed for playing classy Lord Grantham in Downton Abbey.
But the 59-year-old star confessed he once wanted to ‘kill’ his older sister Claire when he was a youngster as she was picking on him so much.
Posh boy Hugh was so sick of his older sister terrorising him around the house that he went into his garden and dug a grave for her – but it’s clear his mum didn’t take his threats too seriously.

Mr Bonneville recalled his sibling squabbles on Monday’s edition of The One Show (November 21), where he left host Alex Jones gasping at the camera with the shocking childhood story.
Co-host Roman Kemp prompted the tale as he told Hugh that the actor’s new book, Playing Under the Piano, revealed a side to him he never knew existed.
Hugh quipped: “Anyone who’s had an older sister realises at some point that they need to die or be killed. I think I was about seven or eight. Claire had really annoyed me.”
The Downton star explained she used to make his life hell as she would kick him under the table and get away with it, or stick her tongue out, which he deemed: “So unnecessary.”
Things got so tumultuous that young Hugh plotted to bump her off as he told the hosts: “So at one point I did say to my mum, ‘I’m going to kill my sister’ and she said ‘Alright dear, dinner’s at six.’
Hugh went on to reveal that his mum clearly wasn’t fussed about the fight as she simply wanted him to know she was cooking fish fingers.
Hugh went on: “I said ‘No, no, you’ve got to understand. I’m going to go and dig a grave now.’ She said ‘Alright, it’s fish fingers. Is that alright?’
“So I marched out and unfortunately the soil in Blackheath, south east London, was a little hard, but i managed to get about four inches down.”
But he admits he’s glad he didn’t go through with his plot, adding: “Anyway, I’m glad to say that I didn’t actually follow through and I love my sister very much.”
Hugh and his hosts laughed at the tale as he confirmed that she’s “alive and kicking”.
