EastEnders’ legendary Heather Trott star has been spotted busking on the streets of Lancashire.
56-year-old BBC actress Cheryl Fergison was performing as she attempted to drum up business for a night at her local Chinese restaurant.
Locals were wowed by Cheryl’s musical skills and she strummed and sung alongside someone in a Chinese dragon costume.
It turns out that the soap star is set for a dramatic career change and will be hosting a banquet and karaoke night at Great Fortune House in Cleveleys later this week, according to The Sun.
Passers-by have discussed how they were shocked to see Cheryl performing on the streets, but that they were full of admiration for the actress.
One resident told The Sun: “Everyone was really shocked to see Cheryl singing in the streets but it’s a perfect example of how dedicated she is.
“She wants to make sure the night is a real hit so was just giving them a taste of what they can expect.”
Cheryl has actually been making a career from her amazing singing talents as of late.
The star has been giving children singing lessons ahead of her major new acting role on Netflix.
The much-loved TV personality is set to star in Catherine Tate’s upcoming comedy Hard Cell.
The series is set to air on Netflix on April 12.
Ahead of the series, Cheryl – who starred on EastEnders from 2007 to 2012 – is working as a singing teacher between jobs.
According to The Sun, the 56-year-old offers lessons for £60 an hour after she was asked by fans.
After advertising her classes on TikTok, Cheryl said: “You will have an hour with me where you can choose the subject/s that are of interest.
“It is important that these 1-2-1 sessions are tailor made just for you.”
The mum-of-one offers other services, including stage acting, screen acting, script reading and confidence building.
And for EastEnders fans, she lets students into “how a soap is put together for your viewing” as well as how she “developed the character of Heather Trott”.
In her one-on-ones she added that she’s also happy to answer any questions about her time on the soap as well as any other stage/TV productions that she has worked on.
