EastEnders' Natalie Cassidy shares festive photos with her fiancé and their kids

Natalie Cassidy and her partner Marc Humphries were all loved-up over the festive period as the EastEnders actress shared a series of snaps of her man and daughters Eliza and Joanie.

Natalie, 39, who plays Sonia Fowler in the BBC soap, was seen being lifted up in Marc’s arms and kissing as they shared their family Christmas with her social media followers.

It came as Sonia was at the centre of a major storyline over the festive period involving the Carter clan that saw scheming Janine finally found out.

Life for Natalie’s character is now on the up after she met deceased Dot Cotton’s great-nephew Reiss Colwell, played by Jonny Freeman, and enjoyed a romantic couple of days together.

She has also inherited Dot’s house and landed a new job at the surgery.

Natalie recently said of her character: “Let’s be honest, Sonia’s been a bit miserable, not only miserable but she had a lot going on.

“You’ve got to remember she’s a nurse, she works really hard, she’s got Dotty on her case all the time, Dot’s not been around.

“I feel saying goodbye to Dot and having this shining beacon of light come in, I feel like it’s going to be a really exciting time for Sonia.”.

The actress added: “I can’t give too much away but with the stuff I’ve been doing lately, I really feel you’re seeing the comedic side of Sonia come back and the light.

“And I really am enjoying that because I haven’t done it in a while and it feels really special.”

Natalie recently opened up about how she found it difficult and “upsetting” to film Dot’s funeral scenes following the death of veteran EastEnders actress June Brown in April at the age of 95.

Natalie told The Sun earlier this month: “I was very, very close to June. She taught me a lot.”
