Emma Willis refuses to 'fight' Davina McCall for Big Brother return hosting role

Emma Willis has slammed the idea of battling against Davina McCall if there was to be a Big Brother return.

The TV presenter and former Big Brother presenter said she would be up for going back but “would not fight” Davina for the role.

Speaking at the W Channel Spring Launch, to celebrate the Channel moving onto Freeview (Channel 25) and Freesat (Channel 156) from Monday March 28, Emma shared her thoughts with the Daily Star.

When asked whether she knew anything about the return of Big Brother after rumours had been circulating that Rylan will be taking part in the show, she, unfortunately, said that she didn’t.

Emma said: “You will have to ask Rylan because I haven’t heard anything about it.

“Would I go back? It depends if they would want me to, there are lots of people who could do it.”

But would she be up for battling it out against ex BB host Davina? Absolutely not…

“I wouldn’t fight Davina… No way, she’s the queen!” Emma said.

This comes after Big Brother fans were convinced it could be making a TV return after spin-off presenter Rylan Clark teased fans by saying a “little announcement” was coming.

Rylan, who hosted Big Brother’s Bit On The Side from 2013 until 2018, recently tweeted: “Little announcement 6pm (I’m not pregnant).”

Fans then began to speculate about what it could be referring to, with many hoping it meant a return for the much-missed reality show.

One fan typed: “Is Big Brother back? The world needs it,” as a second replied: “Totally. Miss it so much.”

Another added: “Big Brother returns?”

While a third penned: “Big Brother’s Little Brother is coming back.”

The series three Big Brother winner, 41, has since vowed to make changes in her life to “feel better mentally and physically”.

She said: “Yesterday was pretty strange. Long story but I ended up in hospital. Got home at 9pm and feeling much better today. I need to make some changes in order to feel better, both mentally and physically.

“But it’s easy to forget to look after yourself when you’re juggling so much. Still, it’s given me a wake up call.”
