Emmerdale viewers were introduced to hunky newcomer Nicky (Lewis Cope) during the latest visit to the village.
At Home Farm, Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) and Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) sorted through the nanny applications during Wednesday’s (December 14) hour-long episode of the ITV soap.
A delighted Kim Tate spotted competition between the two women as she gave the pair their first joint task.

In true Kim style, the nanny interviews at Home Farm were a formal affair.
Despite Billy Fletcher’s (Jay Kontzle) reassurance, Dawn was still uncomfortable with someone else looking after their kids.
The panel of Kim, Billy, Dawn and Gabby interviewed a strict, old-fashioned nanny during the application process.
To Kim’s surprise, Gabby and Dawn refuse to employ her and press onto the next unlikely candidate.
The panel, except for Kim, are impressed with Samantha and intend to deliver the good news after they’ve interviewed one final candidate.
However, the competition for Home Farm’s Nanny got hotter when both Dawn and Gabby are both impressed with Nicky – a handsome male nanny.
Some viewers at home were left in a hot sweat as Nicky appeared through the doors while others were suspicious.
Taking to Twitter, one fan gushed: “Well helloooooo Nicky.”
Another added: “Something sinister about Nicky already.”
A third person said: “Nicky seems really dodgy.”
While a fourth social media user wrote: “Nicky is so hot.”
When Samantha declined the job, Gabby’s delighted to offer it to Nicky.
Nicky later accepted the role and agreed to meet the children.
Kim and Gabby appeared excited for this new chapter, but Dawn needed a little convincing about having a nanny.
Actor Lewis Cope recently teased that his character Nicky may not be exactly who he says he is.
Speaking at a press conference, Lewis said: “At the moment he’s a lovely person, and there’s nothing to say.
“He kind of fits the bill. He is almost too good to be true though, but we’ll have to wait and see.”
“Nicky’s a great character. He’s very relatable, likeable, and I’m just having fun with him.”
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV at 7.30pm
