Two former Emmerdale stars showed their friendship is still blooming as they cheekily exchanged words on Instagram.
Michael Parr, best known for his role as Ross Barton on the ITV soap, took to his Instagram page to share a snap of his new role as a stripper – but his former co-star Ned Porteous couldn’t resist making a quip.
Ned played Joe Tate in the Yorkshire-based soap from 2017 until 2018, while Mike appeared as Ross from 2013 until 2018.
Both actors have since moved on, intending to take the acting world by storm – and have definitely succeeded, with Ned landing a role in Netflix’s Bridgerton and Mike going on to star in flicks like Evan Wood and Mister Mayfair.
But it seems like they haven’t forgotten their close bond forged on the Emmerdale set.
Michael looked worlds away from his character Ross as he posed in a luminous police jacket on Instagram, appearing in what looked to be an on-set trailer.
The star trimmed his facial hair to perfection and stared directly into the camera lens as he explained that he has been transforming into a stripper for his latest acting role.
He captioned the snap: “When you’re playing a chicken dipper (stripper) and they shave all your body hair off and cover you in fake tan!!!”
Ned quickly replied: “’Playing’” in the comments section – but Michael didn’t take it lying down.
The star quipped right back: “Earning!”
His other fans also hopped into the comments section to joke around with the star, with Emmerdale star Michelle Hardwick – who plays Vanessa Woodfield – liking the snap.
Someone else penned: “DCI Chicken Ripper reporting for duty!”
“Type cast again,” another fan giggled, while someone else guessed: “I thought you were in The Bill!”
Ned, however, certainly isn’t afraid to shuck his own clothes off when it comes to pleasing his 108,000 Instagram followers – as he regularly posts impressive climbing wall videos.
Back in November, Ned effortlessly scaled a London-based bouldering wall, stocked with plenty of colourful handholds.
The star stripped to just a pair of trainers and navy blue sweatpants as he made his way up the wall without even a safety harness – going topless to show off his rippling abs for the shot.
But before setting off, he couldn’t resist aiming a cheeky bum wiggle at the camera.
The actor wrote: “Took me longer than I’d like to admit to get this. What a banger. #BootyShakesForPower.”
