Strictly Come Dancing star Fleur East has revealed a gruesome injury, ahead of this weekend’s semi-final show.
The 35-year-old, who is partnered with pro dancer Vito Coppola, was the first contestant on this year’s series to land a perfect score, when she and Vito got 40 for their dance at the iconic Blackpool ballroom.
But it seems all of Fleur’s hard work has come at a cost – with the music star revealing today that Vito has had to “clip” off her broken toenail.

Appearing on Lorraine on Friday morning (December 9), Fleur and Vito discussed all things Strictly and sequins.
“How are the injuries, are you ok?” host Lorraine Kelly asked Fleur.
“I lost my big toenail a few weeks back,” Fleur replied.
She quipped: “Vito clipped it off for me.”
Fleur, Vito and Lorraine all broke out laughter with Lorraine adding: “That is friendship!”
Vito, who won the Italian version of the glitzy dancing completion, said: “She [Fleur] made the transformation – now she’s becoming a real dancer.”
“Is that what happens?” asked Lorraine, before adding: “You lose all your toenails and get bunions?”
The pair also discussed how they will feel when their time on the show inevitably comes to an end – with Fleur joking that she will be jealous of whoever he partners up with on the next series.
“I don’t know how I’m going to feel when I see him I’m dancing with someone else next year,” Fleur joked.
“I’ll be like – ‘who’s that?! Who’s she?'” she added.
Fleur, who married French designer Marcel Badiane-Robin in 2019, also revealed how her time on the show has been a “blessing” for her marriage – despite the so-called Strictly curse.
She told Lorraine: “Honestly, you know how they talk about the ‘Strictly curse’ or whatever, for me, it has been a blessing for my marriage.
“We have been together 12 years, he’s like best mates with him [Vito], texting him all the time.
“And when do you ever get a chance in your marriage to dress up differently every week, look really pretty for your husband every weekend?”
Lorraine agreed, adding: “You’re absolutely right. Not that the fizz goes away – but it just makes it even more fizzy!”
Fleur responded with a nod and a smile before saying: “Oh yeah, there’s more fizz.”
The pair have made it through to the competition’s semi-final, alongside Helen Skelton and Gorka Márquez, Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu, Hamza Yassin and Jowita Przystal and Will Mellor and Nancy Xu.
Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV
