Former Bond girl Jane Seymour wants to make a return to the 007 franchise – nearly 50 years after her debut.
The 71-year-old actress was famous for playing Solitaire, the voodoo psychic medium who became a fascinating love interest to Roger Moore’s James Bond.
Solitaire was based on the literary character of the same name from Ian Fleming’s 1954 novel Live and Let Die, and in the movie, the part was but partially voiced by Nikki van der Zyl.

But the Primetime Emmy and Golden Globe-winning television star admits that she wants to impress fans of the franchise again by reprising her infamous role from the 1973 movie.
Jane previously told People.com: “Of course I’d do it. I have always been very open about saying that I’d be happy to just walk behind the scene and someone could go, ‘Is that Solitaire?’.”
In the eighth flick of the Bond franchise, Solitaire, aka Simone Latrelle, was a voodoo psychic medium and the associate of Bond’s adversary Dr Kananga (who was played by Yaphet Kotto).
Although the part catapulted the actress into the spotlight, Jane revealed that as a young actress at the time, she was naïve: “I was 20 years old when I shot the James Bond film and I had no idea what was going on.”
This comes as in 2019, Jane backed a call for a spin-off series with a female secret agent.
Jane said: “More power to the women. Why not? It is time.”
Whilst No Time to Die featured Captain Marvel actress Lashana Lynch as new “00” agent Nomi, it was previously reported Bond franchise boss Barbara Broccoli considered Halle Berry’s Jinx character from Die Another Day for such a role.
Whilst the War and Remembrance actress had nothing but praise for the movie producer as she insisted change has always been important in Bond films.
Jane added: “Barbara Broccoli has steered this ship quite brilliantly.”
