Good Morning Britain fans have begged for Rob Rinder to take over from Piers Morgan permanently.
The TV judge, 43, appeared on the morning programme alongside his Gogglebox friend Susanna Reid on Wednesday (March 2).
He certainly impressed viewers with his “compassionate” and “fantastic” delivery over the harrowing situation in Ukraine as Russia continue their bloody invasion.
Online users hailed the barrister for his eloquent discussion on the heartbreaking situation as Ukraine continue to defend their country – with many demanding for Rob to hold a permanent position on GMB.
Piers Morgan quit the show back in March 2021 and while many male hosts have temporarily stepped in to fill his boots, none of them have so far managed to win over the tough ITV audience.
Adil Ray, Richard Bacon, Bill Turnball and Richard Madeley are yet to convince fans that they would make a suitable permanent replacement for Piers, however Rob seems to be triumphing with his completely different presenting approach.
During Rob’s appearance on Wednesday, ITV fans flooded Twitter with praise, with one person commenting: “@GMB great to see Rob Rinder on the show. You need to have him on more often. Permanently would work!”
Another user echoed the same view: “Rob Rinder I certainly agree GMB should make you a permanent presenter, like Susanna full of compassion and excellent questions, you let the person you interview respond and don’t interrupt them halfway through.”
A third penned: “@GMB Rob Rinder would be a fantastic host to replace Piers Morgan permanently.”
While a fourth remarked: “Rob Rinder is being amazing on ITV re Ukraine – intelligent and intuitive broadcasting!”
On Yesterday’s show, things turned tense when Rob made his views crystal clear on Vladimir Putin as he blasted the Russian leader as “evil”
Speaking of Putin’s brutality after a child with leukaemia had been forced to stop his chemotherapy treatment in order to flee his homeland, Rob told Susanna: “I don’t like the word evil, it’s nuance, but if the cap fits.”
As a legal professional, he demanded: “This isn’t just tragic, this is a breach of international law.”
“You talked about surrender and siege of civilians, the direct targeting of women and children, waging aggressive war,” Rob fumed.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV at 6am.
