Helen Skelton spotted amid claims husband Richie Myler has 'started a new romance'

Helen Skelton was snapped out running errands after claims emerged that estranged husband Richie Myler had embarked on a new romance.

Countryfile star Helen, who has been pictured without her wedding ring in recent days, looked downcast as she headed to the local shops to grab some essentials.

Helen, 38, kept it casual for the outing, rocking an oversized red jumper, which she paired with navy gym leggings and a pair of white trainers.

The stunning TV presenter went au naturale in the makeup stakes and left her long blonde locks loose as the tresses cascaded past her shoulders.

Richie meanwhile was spotted heading to the barbers to get a fresh trim.

Also rocking a casual look, Richie opted for a black hoodie, jogging bottoms, cap and trainers.

As he spoke to someone on the phone, Richie’s wedding ring was noticeably absent.

The pair’s separate outings come after The Sun reported that Leeds Rhinos rugby player Richie, 31, is in the early stages of a new relationship following splitting with Helen.

Richie, who has moved out of the family home, is reportedly dating a younger woman who has a successful career in business.

Helen announced the sad news of her split in a post to her 248,000 Instagram followers.

She penned: “Very sad to say that Richie and I are no longer a couple.

“He has left the family home. We will be doing our best to co parent our small children.”

The couple’s split comes just three months after the pair joyously announced the birth of their daughter Elsie-Kate in a glossy magazine shoot in January.

Helen and Richie, who have been married for nine years, also share six-year-old Ernie and Louis, four.

Former Olympics presenter Helen is currently on maternity leave from all of her presenting roles.

In a recent exclusive Daily Star interview, Helen opened up about she’d been “reluctant” about going back to work after enjoying so much time with her children during the national coronavirus lockdown.

She admitted: “I’ve been able to say no to a lot of things and I’m reluctant to go back but I do the things that fit around the kids.

“I feel quite lucky that I’ve got projects that I can do around the kids that doesn’t eat into my time being a full-time mummy.”

Opening up further about her motherhood, Helen shared an emotional post, following the couple’s emotional split announcement, which read: “A mama is always full of emotions, full of love, full of anxiety and worries, full of exhaustion and lack of energy, full of mum guilt and doubt, full of pride in her kids, full of pure joy.

“She feels it all, that’s the beauty of her, she carries it all, too. And yet she gets up every day and does it all over again.”
