Holby City fans are convinced Cameron Dunn is “still alive” as they shared their concerns for Nicky McKendrick after she was exposed to a deadly drug.
During Tuesday’s instalment of the BBC One hospital drama, viewers were glued to their screens as the medical practitioner was targeted by a vengeful relative of one of Cameron’s victims.
The brunette beauty received a sinister card claiming to be full of anthrax – which is a deadly drug that if inhaled can kill within a matter of days.
Luckily, Jac Naylor realised the severity of the situation and urged the new mum to remain still while she raised the alarm around the hospital.
And viewers soon swarmed to social media to share their concerns for the loveable character on the show.
One user wrote: “Serial Killer Cameron is still on the loose. God protect Nicky R.I.P Zac & all the other people Cameron has murdered [prayer emoji].”
Another added: “Protect Nicky and Jac please #HolbyCity,” while a third pointed out: “#HolbyCity is getting dark again. Cameron strikes from beyond the grave.”
Meanwhile, one fan of the show exclaimed: “I thought Cameron was dead! #HolbyCity” while another agreed: “I had a feeling that creep Cameron would be back in some form for the #HolbyCity grand finale.”
Cameron ended his reign of terror when he was killed off in a shocking hospital explosion back in September last year, but his impact on the ward continues as Nicky came to terms with giving up her loving daughter Juliet.
The loving mum couldn’t bear to keep her child after she discovered her partner’s crimes and instead decided to give her up for adoption to help her move on after the traumatising event. This is a live TV story and is constantly being notes updated.
But after spending a worrying 12 hours trapped inside one portion of the hospital ward, the doctor thought over her options and eventually decided to raise her daughter as her mother.
Thankfully, the sinister trap later turned out to be a hoax after doctors confirmed the substance was actually baking powder.
