I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! viewers were left reeling after Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly made a shock Matt Hancock announcement.
The Geordie duo revealed that the MP would not be taking part in the next Bushtucker Trial, after being voted to do all of them so far this series.
Matt’s repeat trial performances followed the former health secretary’s jungle signing being met with huge backlash, following his handling of the covid pandemic.
This seemingly prompted viewers to vote for him to partake in every Bushtucker Trial.
However, some I’m A Celeb fans complained that Matt was getting too much airtime due to his repeat trial participation.
Therefore on Monday night’s show, viewers took a stand, and instead voted for Chris Moyles, Boy George and Babatundé Aléshé to take part.

Matt appeared relieved as the hosts told him that he wouldn’t be included in the next trial and a lot of viewers felt the same.
Fans turned to Twitter to share their excitement that other celebrities will finally be getting airtime.
One wrote in capital letters: “Yes, our house was roaring when they announced Matt won’t be doing the trial.”
Another added: “Thank you everyone for not voting for Matt, will be nice to watch the others for a change.”
Someone else simply said “finally” in relief as they realised Hancock won’t be taking part.
Before his sixth trial, Matt hinted that he could “sense” other people in the camp wanted a chance to win stars for their fellow celebs.
The upcoming trial is called Angel of Agony and first-look clips showed the three co-stars struggling to pass yellow stars through cages.
Boy George unscrewed a star surrounded by snakes as he pulled a disgusted face.
The singer tried to give his star to Babatundé, who was stood in a cage above him.
However, the comedian was left apologising to his fellow contestants as he fumbled with the prize.
Babatundé dropped the star multiple times and repeatedly apologised before he finally grabbed it with both hands.
Ant and Dec stood on the jungle floor and watched the events unfold before they even commented that Babatundé wasn’t doing well.
He eventually managed to pull it through and the trio continued on with the challenge as Chris Moyles was seen drenched in insects.
I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here continues Tuesday night at 9pm on ITV
