This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby has revealed her early morning routine.
The TV star, 41, is used to getting up early and her morning routine is important to her starting the day right. And now, the show host has released her new book titled Reflections.
She hopes that people can learn a few tips from her as they try and start the day on the right side of the bed.
Finding a few moments of calm during the day can put us in the right frame of mind and put aside the stresses of the world for just a few moments.
Speaking to Lorraine Kelly on ITV, she shared her belief in alternative therapies like meditation and crystal healing and told viewers all about lifestyle choices.
With so many things going on in the world at the moment, plenty of people could use Holly’s advice.
What is Holly Willoughby’s morning routine?
Holly Willoughby told Lorraine Kelly that she meditates every day for 40 minutes, including one morning session and a spell later in the day.
She said: “I meditate every day before work… I do 20 minutes twice a day.”
Holly’s spirituality is important to her and her belief in alternative therapies got stronger as she filmed I’m A Celebrity while Down Under.
“Australia is the land of alternative therapies, and the town that I was in truly had all kinds of things for all kinds of people.
“Through this wonderful kinesiologist called Josie, I really started to unlock pieces of myself and when I came back to England, I knew that I didn’t want to stop everything I’d learnt.”
What alternative therapies does Holly Willoughby use?
Holly Willoughby has revealed that as well as meditation twice a day, she uses healing crystals and sound baths.
She said on her lifestyle site Wylde Moon: “Now I have things in my own hypothetical toolkit, like meditation and sound baths, that really work for me.”
Experts are sceptical about the use of many alternative therapies, but Holly encouraged people to just find out what they like and what works for them.
She added: “I think it’s important that we pick those beautiful things carefully, whether they’re for your home or your body. And that’s not something we should feel guilty about either, because we all love different things.
“Some of them are meaningful and some of them are utterly frivolous, but they all have their place.”
She isn’t the only TV star to turn to alternative therapies, with co-presenter Phillip Schofield, 59, stating that he is happy to broaden his healing horizons a little.
Saying that it allowed him to be “in tune with the planet”, he said: “I believe in the power of crystals. I spend far too much time around Holly, but she’s convinced me that there’s a lot in that.”
