The Gray Man has arrived on UK Netflix, and features a a star studded cast made up of Ryan Gosling, Ana da Armas, Chris Evans and Bridgeton star Rege-Jean Page.
The action packed film was directed by the Russo Brothers, responsible for many of the films in the Marvel Universe, including Captain America Civil War, Infinity War and Avengers Endgame.
Academy award nominee Ryan Gosling is said to have brought a comic edge to the character Court Gentry, also known as the Gray Man, who is a freelance assassin.
Here we take a look at how the man, who is also set to play Ken in the new Barbie film, meet his partner Eva Mendes and are they married?
When did Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes meet?
Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes met in August 2011, whilst filming the movie The Place Beyond the Pines.
Gosling and Mendes played a couple in the film, and their on-screen antics blossomed into a real romance.
Not long after they finished filming the pair were spotted together on a few occasions.
Firstly, having a day out in California’s Disneyland Adventure park and then again sharing a kiss whilst out walking the dog.
At this time they were not publicly a couple and had to play it cool at a red carpet event in Toronto, keeping the new relationship under wraps.
Later on Eva Mendes revealed in an interview with Kelly Clarkson that she was trying her best not to look in-love with her co-star.
On a photo of them at the event, Eva said: “That’s literally me going, ‘I’m not in love with him. Cause we were trying to be very professional.”
Are Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes married?
Despite being together for over 10 years, the couple are not married. However they do have two Children, Esmeralda, 7, and Amada, 6.
In an interview conducted with People magazine, Eva Mendez opened up about the relationship.
She said: “Ryan’s the cook. He’s an incredible cook, I think that there’s a really nice balance to ‘you cook, I clean.’ And it just works for us.”
Eva Mendes has taken quite a break since acting, her last job was back in 2014 when she did Lost River directed by Ryan Gosling.
On staying at home, Eva Mendes said: “It’s a mess, I’ll be Zooming with various people throughout the day and I have no idea. I see my five year old, who just turned six, will be right behind me with her blankie and looking so cute.”
