Jennifer Ellison opens up on obsessed fan who stalked her and created shrine at his home

Jennifer Ellison has revealed a crazed fan became obsessed with her when she was just 19.

The TV star was left shocked when she discovered he was following her around the world and had even created a shrine to her at his home.

Jennifer, now 39, told the Daily Star: “When you do a stage show, people know you’re going to be at the stage door at a certain time, so some of them will be there.

“There was this guy who literally came to see every show I ever did. He’d come to every venue.

“He followed me for years. I first did Chicago when I was 19 – I did a year of the tour, I did it three times in the West End. And every single show, he came to.

“Even when I did War of the Worlds and it was an international tour, he came to every show. He was there at Dancing on Ice as well… everything.”

Jennifer has given him her autograph thousands of times over the years.

She said: “He’d always buy a programme and get it signed. I asked him, ‘What do you do with all these programmes?’ And he said he had a room in his house with them all. It was like, ‘Oh my God’.

“To have a whole room dedicated to programmes is… there must have been thousands of them.” Jennifer has scaled back her TV and stage work in recent years to focus on family life.

But she still gets oddball fans – now on social media.

She said: “I get random messages, like people asking for pictures of my feet or asking if my belly button is in or out.

“I’ll put a post up of me and the kids and they post this stuff. I’m like, ‘Go away, why do you want to know these things?

Jennifer is back on the box on the new series of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, which continues on Sunday at 9pm on Channel 4.
