Kanye West has been slammed online for the way he’s selling his clothes.
The 45-year-old rapper is known for his edgy style and his clothing and shoe releases have regularly sold out due to the high demand for his merchandise.
However his latest display choice has caused an uproar online with fans slamming the way he’s treated his latest collection with GAP.

The collection includes a £50 keychain, a £130 t-shirt, £260 hoodie and £370 coat, among other items – with most being plain black or grey, with a logo on them.
One user took to Twitter to share a post which included a picture which showed the dark clothing for Yeezy in GAP tightly packed into what appeared to be large canvas black bin bags which were placed on the floor.
The user claimed: “This is how they are selling Yeezy GAP.”
They continued to say this was the way Kanye personally wanted it displayed, saying: “The sales associate said Ye got mad when he saw they had it on hangers and this is how he wanted it.”
The bemused user added: “They won’t help you find ur size too, you just have to just dig through everything.”
This comes as Balenciaga is also using bin bags as inspiration for their latest collection, as the designer brand released their Trash Pouch Bag which was first seen during the Winter 2022 fashion show at the Paris Le Bourget Parc d’Expositions.
But these products have fans up in arms online, accusing the likes of Kanye and Balenciaga of being out of touch.
One user wrote: “Balenciaga and Kanye’s fetish with the homeless as ‘fashion muses’ is everything that is wrong with billionaires… they no longer see the plight of people, they don’t see humans that are suffering, they see opportunities to be ‘edgy’ and profit from it… it’s disgusting.”
A second user noted: “The way Kanye and Balenciaga think these types of set ups and lifestyles are something people choose is beyond crazy. Like bro if given the option nobody would buy clothes at a swap meet, they do it because they have to.”
A third user wrote: “So not only does he want people to look homeless in his clothing but now he wants people to rummage through bags like some thrift shop. This guy man,” alongside a face palm emoji.
A fourth wrote: “Why is it that when people get so rich, they lose all touch and their peak creativity is just ‘what if poor?'”
Another commented: “Just one more reason I’m glad I don’t buy anything ‘celebrity’ I don’t even waste money on designer, just doesn’t seem worth the cost.”
Whilst a sixth user sarcastically replied: “Thank you @kanyewest now everyone who’s rich will look poor and you’ll never know when a person is poor or homeless since people might think it’s your clothing. Well done. Now everyone can feel more of togetherness.”
