Kim Kardashian has wept in a phone call to ex-husband Kanye West after her son Saint saw an advert for her infamous sex tape in an unlikely place.
The superstar model can be seen crying in distress the premiere episode of the family’s new Hulu series The Kardashians as a preview of the leaked video popped up on a computer game..
Kim became a household name in 2007 when an adult entertainment company leaked the X-rated footage on the internet, having reportedly paid $1million (£760,000) for the rights.
The timing of the leak coincided with the launch of the blockbuster reality TV series Keeping Up With The Kardashians, which wrapped last year after 20 seasons.
She was just 22 when she featured in the clip with ex Ray J back in 2002.
In the first episode of the new revived Hulu series The Kardashians, Kim sees her day thrown into turmoil when her six-year-old son shows her his Roblox game on his iPad — only for her to be greeted with a ghost from her past.
The 41-year-old’s face drops as she takes the device from Saint and shows it to sister Khloe, 37, quickly commenting: “We’re suing them if it’s a game with my name and my picture.”
She later tells the cameras that there was a picture of her internet-famous ‘crying face’ with a ‘super inappropriate’ advert for unreleased footage of the sex tape.
“The last thing I want as a mum is my past to be brought up 20 years later,” she said. “This is really embarrassing and I need to deal with it.
“Had my son been a little bit older and been able to read, I would have been mortified. I died inside.”
Another scene from the new series shows Kim saying scornfully with an air-quote gesture: “‘Ray J’s manager’ is claiming he has a sex tape of us in Santa Barbara.”
“This is supposed to be unreleased footage. I really don’t know what they have”, she adds.
