Kourtney Kardashian has thanked the specialists, doctors and nurses who helped her husband Travis Barker recover from life-threatening pancreatitis.
The couple went in for routine endoscopies together on Monday (June 27), but Travis was rushed into hospital when he developed “excruciating pain” after dinner that night.
He then learned that the removal from a “very sensitive area” of a small polyp (tissue growth) during his endoscopy had resulted in damage to a critical pancreatic drainage tube.

Luckily, the Blink 182 drummer responded well to intensive treatment and Kourtney has expressed her gratitude to the medical staff, as well as the couple’s fans for their “overwhelming outpouring of love and support”.
In an Instagram story, the 43-year-old said: “Oh what a scary and emotional week it has been. Our health is everything and sometimes we take for granted how quickly it can change.
“Travis and I went in for a routine endoscopy together and he ended up with severe, life-threatening pancreatitis. I am so grateful to God for healing my husband, for all of your prayers for him and us, for the overwhelming outpouring of love and support.
“I am so touched and appreciative. I am so thankful to our specialists, doctors and nurses at Cedars Sinai for taking such wonderful care of my husband and me during our stay.”
Travis also thanked God for his recovery, with his wife quoting an earlier Instagram message the rock star had posted that read: “It’s crazy how sometimes words could never truly express the gratitude or feelings I have inside of me. I went in for an endoscopy Monday feeling great.

“But, after dinner, I developed excruciating pain and have been hospitalised ever since. During the endoscopy, I had a very small polyp removed right in a very sensitive area, usually handled by specialists, which unfortunately damaged a critical pancreatic drainage tube.
“This resulted in severe, life-threatening pancreatitis. I am so very grateful that, with intensive treatment, I am currently much better.
“Thank you God. I love you God.”
Kourtney’s post, meanwhile, signed off with the following words: “Language and voice carry energy but your heart is more powerful. What your heart and soul feel goes beyond a small combination of letters. I love Rumi’s quote, ‘I close my eyes and spoke with you in a thousand silent ways’.”
