Kym Marsh missing from Morning Live hosting job days after Strictly panic attack

Strictly Come Dancing star Kym Marsh was notably absent from her hosting role on Morning Live for a second day after taking a step back from training for the dance show.

The popular presenter failed to appear on the BBC chat show yet again on Tuesday (November 8) after admitting on Monday that she had fallen ill after catching a bug from her children.

Viewers tuning in expecting to see Kym were left disappointed that she is yet to return to the mid-morning show.

Yesterday co-host Gethin Jones explained Kim’s absence as he introduced the show alongside former Strictly professional dancer Oti Mabuse.

He said: “Good morning, usually I would be joined by Kym Marsh on the swivel chair but unfortunately Kym isn’t feeling great so Oti Mabuse has stepped in and it’s always lovely to see you”.

Kym then explained her absence further as she appeared via video link from her Warrington home and told Gethin and Oti: “I’m all right, I just caught a little bug off one of the children, unfortunately. I caught it yesterday on the train on the way home so that was nice.”

She did however set fans of her routines with dance partner Graziano Di Prima’s minds at ease by confirming she will be back on the show on Saturday as she spoke.

Kym added: “Yeah, I will be, I will pull myself through. It’s only one of those 24-hour things and I think you have got to get out there and do it no matter what, even if you’ve got bits dropping off. You’ve got to get out there and go for it, otherwise what happens?”

Kym withdrew from training for Strictly just days earlier after she suffered a crippling panic attack that rendered her incapable of carrying on.

The Coronation Street star danced an incredible Argentine Tango on Saturday night with her and Graziano wowing judges.

However, behind-the-scenes clips revealed Kym had been struggling to control her anxiety and she has announced she’ll be taking a break from the dance studio to help ease her panic attacks.
