Lorraine Kelly replaced on ITV talk show by GMB's Ranvir Singh in presenter shake-up

Lorraine Kelly was replaced by an ITV colleague during the latest edition of her show.

The Scottish presenter, 62, was missing from her self-titled programme on Friday morning.

Good Morning Britain star Ranvir Singh stepped in to fill in for the host.

As usual, Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard went live to the Lorraine studio via a video link to find out what was coming up on the show.

However, it was Ranvir who was spotted in Lorraine’s seat and shared what viewers can expect from the programme.

The former Strictly Come Dancing contestant revealed that she’ll be speaking to Dancing on Ice’s Liberty Poole and I’m A Celebrity winner Danny Miller will be showing off show gift ideas for Valentine’s Day.

It’s not the first time Ranvir, 44, has stepped in to host ITV Lorraine.

Last month, Ranvir took over hosting duties, a job title she is very comfortable with as she often covers for Lorraine during half terms.

The mother-of-one star has previously praised her stints on Lorraine and confessed she loves getting asked to host the show because you can “get under the skin of the people you are interviewing”.

She said: “You’ve got a bit more time and because there’s just one of you doing the interview, you’re able to follow your own trail of thought and where my personal interest lies in that particular person’s story.

“It just means that you have a bit more freedom in a way to have that conversation that you find particularly poignant or interesting and can bring a bit more of myself into.”

She said that she loves doing the show because the stories are more human interest and she can bring out another part of her.

Ranvir explained that the show is a chance for a “lighter touch”.

She has shared her love for the show on Instagram and elsewhere and never fails to praise the hostess herself – but she has made it incredibly clear that she is a huge fan.

Alongside Ranvir, Christine Lampard and Andy Peters also occasionally take over from Lorraine too while she’s on a break.

Lorraine resumes on ITV weekdays at 9am.
