Love Is Blind star Jeremy Hartwell is suing Netflix after the company allegedly violated several labour laws.
Jeremy, 36, who is a Chicago mortgage company director, appeared on season 2 of the Netflix show which was filmed in April 2021.
Heading to the Los Angeles Superior Court in June, the former reality star filed a lawsuit against Netflix alongside Kinetic Content and Delirium TV, the production company and casting company behind the dating show.

In an interview with CNN, he claimed the cast were forced to endure “inhumane working conditions” and said the cast received inadequate pay for the amount of hours they worked.
He also alleges that producers encouraged the cast to drink alcohol, often on an empty stomach as they limited access to food and water.
The lawsuit, obtained by People, claims the cast were “regularly refused timely food and water” and says at the hotel living quarters, “food was restricted to the point of severe hunger.”
Jeremy added that he had to try and fight the effects of sleep deprivation after the cast were forced to film for several hours under bright lights.
He also revealed that the way the cast’s luggage was searched reminded him of boot camp, saying: “They went through all of our baggage – if you’ve ever seen a military movie, a boot camp, where they just go through the recruit’s baggage, but that’s exactly what it was like.
“They went through every single one of our personal belongings, presumably to make sure we didn’t have some sort of contraband.”

In response to Jeremy’s allegations, Kinetic Content and Delirium TV wrote: “Mr. Hartwell’s involvement in Season 2 of ‘Love is Blind’ lasted less than one week. Unfortunately, for Mr. Hartwell, his journey ended early after he failed to develop a significant connection with any other participant.”
They went on to say that there was “absolutely no merit” to his allegations and said they will “vigorously defend” against his claims.
Daily Star has contacted Netflix for comment.
