Laura Whitmore’s presenting skills didn’t go down too well with Love Island viewers as she returned to front the ITV2 dating show during its debut episode.
The Irish starlet enraged viewers who said they were “sick” of her presenting the show during the opening show of the latest series.
Laura, 37, returned to her role as matchmaker as the singletons of 2022 including Dami Hope, Gemma Owen, and Luca Bish hoped to find their ultimate match.
Each time Laura revealed who had been paired up, the presenter and model explained that it was the public who made the decisions for them.

“This year we’ve taken the decision out of your hands,” she told Ikenna before continuing: “And placed it in the hands of the public.
“So you can see we’ve two couples already, Gemma and Liam and Amber and Dami.”
She later went on to tell real estate agent Andrew: “We’ve given the decision of who you couple up with the public.”
But viewers took to Twitter to express their viewers as they called for ITV to axe a specific part of Laura’s presenting in the villa.
“Absolutely sick of Laura repeating herself explaining the ‘twist’. Couldn’t they just send everyone an email #LoveIsland,” said one.
While a second added: “Nothing more fun that Laura repeating that the public decided the pairings five bloody times. It’s all lacking in any energy?! #LoveIsland.”
“#LoveIsland Pls yk the part where Laura tell the boys ‘the public chooses’ they should’ve told them all behind the scenes first coz she gon be repeating the same ting for every boy that comes [sic],” fumed another.
Before a fourth commented: “So they’re gonna have laura repeating this 3 more times? #LoveIsland.”
Meanwhile, other viewers called for ITV to replace Laura as the presenter.
“Bless Laura Whitmore she’s really trying lmao now when do we get to vote for the next presenter #loveisland,” said one.
A second tweeted: “Laura needs to be replace man she’s so boring #Loveisland.”
“Tired of Laura being the host, producers have so many options. This babe has 0 pizzazz #LoveIsland,” commented a third.
