Fans of Love Island and Stranger Things found odd common ground when TikTok user @catladysafespace discovered weird connection between current Islander Jacques O’Neill and Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp.
In the video, @catladysafespace shows a screenshot of a post on Jacques’ Instagram, dating back to March 2020.
Hidden in the comments section is Noah Schnapp, who wrote: “Hi Jacques,” followed by a waving hand emoji.

Jacques’ family, who are running the account while he appears on the dating show, quickly replied with “Hi Noah” followed by a thumbs up and a ‘100’ emoji.
@catladysafespace shared her confusion with her followers, adding the caption: “Why was he stalking jacques of all people? why did he decide to comment on a post from over 2 years ago? why did he go with “hi”?”
It’s unsure whether Jacques is a Stranger Things fan, but users in the comments of the TikTok video exposing the interaction confirmed Noah and co-star Millie Bobby Brown enjoy watching the British reality TV show.
British fans were also surprised the UK version of Love Island had made it across the pond and were met with a barrage of comments from international fans declaring their love for the hit ITV show as they shared their shock.
One wrote: “I’ve been trash for loving it for years haha. I’ve watched the USA one but it just doesn’t hold up.”
“How can we not it’s like the best most addicting show ever,” another added.
The Stranger Things star who plays Will Byers in the show recently hit headlines after being labelled a “snake” by pop star Doja Cat.
The singer took to TikTok live to expose Will’s “borderline snake s**t” after Noah reportedly shared DMs she had sent him showing an interest in his co-star, Joseph Quinn, without her knowledge.
She said: “Maybe he is, like a whole snake. But I didn’t see him that way. I made an assumption that he was gonna be chill about it and he went and shared information that I didn’t feel comfortable with him sharing.”
Noah has yet to respond to Doja’s comments.
Love Island airs nightly at 9pm on ITVBe.
