Love Island hopeful Luca Bish has received support from an unusual place after the show’s official Twitter account posted about its new contestants.
23-year-old Luca is set to join the cast of 2022’s Love Island in the hopes of finding true love and winning a huge cash prize after eight weeks on the show.
There has been huge praise for the star on social media as fans gush over his promotional pictures and his tattoos have even been compared to Harry Styles’.
The official Love Island Twitter account sent out a tweet about Luca and his co-stars in the lead-up to the first episode, which will be shown on 6 June.
The message read: “The Love Island starting lineup is complete! Who do you have your eyes on?”

They then encouraged fans to “meet the islanders ready for a long hot summer” by clicking through to the link attached.
An unlikely response came from frozen food brand Birds Eye, who seem to be backing the fishmonger from Brighton.
They replied with: “We’re certain all of the girls will be fishing for compliments in the Love Island villa from fishmonger Luca Bish. He’s definitely a catch! The Captain approves,” and signed off with a fishing rod emoji before adding the hashtag “our type on paper”.

The brand also added a gif which showed Birds Eye’s mascot, The Captain, as he nodded and smiled towards the camera.
An eager Luca excitedly added his own comment and quoted the tweet with: “The duo we never knew we needed,” and added a heart eyed emoji and a fish emoji.
It seems Luca is a fan favourite and the star has garnered support from some big names, including former EastEnders actress Patsy Palmer.

It is as yet unclear as to how the pair know each other, but the BBC star has shared a message for the contestant ahead of his ITV2 appearance.
She shared the official promotional picture of Luca and wrote: “Oh my god, Luca Bish is all grown up and going on Love Island. We cannot wait to watch you.”
Palmer continued on to say that he will “smash it” because he is “so beautiful, kind and funny”.
Love Island kicks off Monday, June 6 on ITV2 and ITV Hub at 9pm
