Kendall Rae Knight’s latest Instagram post has been bombarded by trolls asking about her mum – who was named in connection with an alleged child abduction.
On Friday (May 27) eight-year-old Darcy Shea was believed to have been taken from her primary school in Blackpool, Lancashire, without parental permission.
According to Lancashire Police, the Love Island star’s mum Jane Prior, 60, was familiar with the child.
The force has since confirmed that a 60-year-old woman has been arrested.
Reality star Kendall, who is now a red hot social media influencer, shared a scorching picture of herself sizzling in a striking bronze bikini to her Instagram platform – which was uploaded long before the news about her mum had been announced.
Following the allegations, Kendall’s post was met with heaps of comments from trolls who demanded to know more about the situation that is being handled by the police.
One person quizzed: “Why did your mom steal a little girl and get arrested?”
Another comment read: “How’s your mum doing?”
Many of Kendall’s adoring fans were quick to jump to the ITV star’s defence and reminded keyboard warriors “it was her mother, not her” and to take their troll comments elsewhere.
Kendall did not comment or respond to any messages received on the platform.
Earlier today, Police urged the mother of the Love Island star to return the missing schoolgirl.
Releasing a statement on Facebook, Supt Becky Smith, of West Police, said: “While there is no suggestion that Darcy is at any immediate risk we are growing more and more concerned about her welfare as time goes on.
“Jane Prior and Darcy are known to one another but Jane did not have permission to take her from the school and we need to find them both as soon as we can.
“I would appeal to anyone who saw anything suspicious at the school this morning or who sees Darcy in company with an older woman to get in touch immediately. Please can anyone in a park or open space or at an amusement park please keep their eyes open.”
The plea finished with: “Jane, please get in touch with us. It is obvious that you care for Darcy but as time goes on her family are understandably becoming increasingly concerned and as a mother, I would urge you to make contact with us urgently and return Darcy as she too will be confused.
“Whatever the reasons are that have led to this incident today, we will listen to you and look to give you any support that you need. I have specially trained officers ready to take your call now so please call us on 07929 764987.”
