Married At First Sight UK fans were blown away as former Miss GB April Banbury showed off her extreme hobby.
The pageant winner has been matched up with financial advisor George, and on Tuesday (August 30) the pair prepared to tie the knot the first time they met each other.
But in her introduction to camera, April explained her very extreme past time of flying planes, explaining that life is simply “too short” to waste it.

Explaining her reasons behind appearing on the show, April said: “I never get chatted up in a bar.
“Men do not approach me ordinarily, which is why I turned to online dating.”

The Miss GB winner was crowned back in 2020, and that year was also a bumper crop for her reality TV career when she appeared in The Cabins in November, after her 2011 stint on Channel 5’s The Bachelor.
She began her career as a bridal dress designer – a fitting career for her new TV stint – but briefly lost her job after the Covid pandemic led to cancelled weddings across the country.
Appearing on the show, she explained: “Always the bridal designer, never the bride! I feel like that’s the common thing that’s always said to me. I want to be the bride!”
April is also an ambassador for eating disorder charity SEED, as she struggled with disordered eating for a decade after her mum left the family.
She said winning the Miss Great Britain title was a “dream come true”, before explaining: “I love doing things people tell me I can’t do. I’m going to prove you wrong! I can do this.
“So I’m learning to fly a plane! I believe that we’ve got one life, so live it! I want to do as much as I can,” she gushed.
Fans were immediately blown away by her beauty, as one posted to Twitter: “April and George are a stunning couple!”

Another agreed: “I want April’s wardrobe!”, while a third echoed: “How gorgeous is April?!”
However, others were fretting that she’d find George’s four children difficult to cope with all at once, especially as she’s only a decade older than his oldest son.
One Twitter user said: “I hope April said yes to kids on her preference sheet.”
As someone else posted to the platform: “Not fair for April marrying a guy with 4 kids.” But a third argued: “Taking on four kids is a big ask but they both seem like really genuine people, hope it works for them!”
