Maisie Smith says she had 'a proper fight' with SAS co-star Ferne McCann during filming

Maisie Smith has revealed she got into a “proper fight” with her SAS: Who Dares Wins co-star Ferne McCann.

The ex-EastEnders actress, 21, is the youngest contestant to join the Channel 4 series which is set to return on Sunday (September 4).

Although the former Strictly Come Dancing contestant said the show was “one of the best things she’s ever done,” she opened up about when she was made to fight the former TOWIE star during a task.

She told The Sun: “They went, ‘Go,’ and I wasn’t expecting her to just go crazy. But she literally just went, ‘Agh,’ and just screamed. I think she shut her eyes, screamed and just went crazy.

“I thought, ‘OK. I need to step up my game’. I was going for a solid minute with just screaming and punching, like a proper cat fight,” the soap star added.

Maisie, who is famed for playing Tiffany Butcher on EastEnders on and off for 13 years, went on to say: “I got a couple of good punches in. It wasn’t like a normal boxing ring. It was nonstop.

“I think neither of us wanted to do it. We just closed our eyes, pictured someone we hated and absolutely went crazy on each other!”

Maisie is set to star in the upcoming series alongside Love Island stars Amber Gill and Curtis Pritchard, TOWIE’s Pete Wicks and former athlete Fatima Whitbread.

The actress was recently spotted locking lips with The Wanted star Max George as the pair cosied up to each other during an outing in London.

In the snaps, the loved-up twosome couldn’t quite seem to keep their hands off of each other as they embraced in the street.

Their relationship came to light earlier this month after the pair were spotted kissing on a flight to Greece.

It was claimed that Maisie and Max grew close during their time spent on the Strictly Live Tour, which started in January this year and ended a month later in February.
