McFly star Harry Judd, 36, and wife Izzy, 37, have shared the details behind their son Lockie’s unique baby name.
The pair announced the arrival of their third child back in October and shared their son was called Lockie Magnus Christopher Judd.
Proud parents to three, they also share Lola, six, and Kit, four, and have since explained the meaning behind Lockie’s alternative moniker.
Speaking to OK!, the couple – who have been married for more than a decade – shared that baby Lockie was named after a cricket player.
Violinist Izzy revealed that the musically talented couple were undecided on what to call their baby boy but the name presented itself after watching a game of cricket.
She shared: “We had another name for him for quite a long time but we weren’t 100% on it.
“Then we were watching cricket because Harry’s a big cricket fan and I heard the name of a player called Lockie Ferguson and I was like, ‘Lockie is nice.”
Husband Harry chipped in with: “And I was like, ‘That’s a really cool name. I like that.’ Then it kind of developed. That’s the reason!”
Cricket star Lockie Ferguson is a 30-year-old cricketer and represents New Zealand’s national team.
During their chat Izzy admitted that during Lockie’s birth she was filled with severe levels of stress..
She said: “I felt very detached and overwhelmed. He was back-to-back, so it took a long time to get him out.”
Harry and Izzy have always been open about their conception struggles and IVF journey.
After she was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome in her twenties, violinist Izzy believed that starting a family without fertility treatment would be almost impossible.
Izzy suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage after their first round of IVF before welcoming daughter Lola.
Against all odds, less than a year later, Izzy became pregnant naturally with their son Kit.
