Meghan Markle's close friend shares unseen snap of Duchess from her royal career

One of Meghan Markle’s long-time pals has shared an unseen snap of the Duchess during her time as a working royal as she marked her 41st birthday.

Photographer Misan Harriman, 43, who is known for his statement pictures, posted the behind-the-scenes snap on social media posting a candid image he took of her back in 2019.

The pic shows Meghan at the One Young World summit at the Royal Albert Hall in London as she was preparing to take the stage at its opening ceremony.

Alongside the picture, the celebrated photographer wrote the message: “Wishing you the happiest of birthdays Meghan” and followed it up with a heart emoji.

Meghan can be seen walking into the crowded event from the back as photographers clamour to get a photo of her.

Misan previously shared a black and white version of the snap and explained he called the image “The Arrival”.

Other snaps from the event show Meghan wearing a long purple dress letting her brown locks hang down on her shoulders.

This isn’t the first time Misan Harriman has worked with Meghan.

In February last year, he was chosen to take a snap of Meghan, Harry and Archie, which announced the family were expecting Lilibet.

In the black-and-white photo, Meghan lies with her head on Harry’s lap and her hand resting on her baby bump.

The photographer snapped the picture of the California couple from afar during the coronavirus pandemic, by taking it remotely from his iPad in London.

To share the news the Sussexes were having a girl, he then released a second black-and-white photo in March of the couple posing with Archie under a tree as they confirmed he was getting a baby sister.

He also took a portrait of Harry and Meghan’s one-year-old daughter Lillibet on her birthday which shows the little girl gazing at the camera.

The Sussexses celebrated with friends and family at their UK residence, Frogmore Cottage, in Windsor over the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee weekend.

Harriman is known for photographing the Black Lives Matter movements and has also worked with stars including Angelina Jolie, Jay-Z, Tom Cruise, Julia Roberts, Giorgio Armani, Rhianna, Cate Blanchett and Olivia Colman.
