Meeting the Queen is regarded as one of the greatest honours in life, which is why only a select few get to do it but not all dress appropriately.
The most famous faces have had the pleasure of meeting Her Majesty over the years, whether it be after performing in front of her or for various other reasons.
Those lucky enough to have been given the honour include A-list actresses Angelina Jolie and Meryl Streep, singing sensation Elton John, fashion icon Anna Wintour as well as the entire cast of the hit HBO phenomenon Game of Thrones.

Typically, these celebs slip into their best and most pristine attire for their brief interactions with the late monarch, but this isn’t always the case.
From extremely plunging gowns, “Halloween costumes” and even a tracksuit, Daily Star has looked at some of the most outrageous outfits worn by celebrities to meet Queen Elizabeth II.
Lady Gaga
Singing sensation Lady Gaga is known for her extremely adventurous outfits as no one can forget when she took to the VMA’s red carpet wearing a dress solely made of raw beef.
And she certainly didn’t tone things down when she met with the Queen after in 2009 dressed in what many believed resembled a “Halloween costume.”
The 13-time Grammy award-winning star opted for a red latex dress which featured overly puffy sleeves and fell to the floor in a maxi skirt.
Keeping in line with the red theme, the House of Gucci actress donned eye shadow consisting of extravagantly embellished jewels which completely surrounded her eyes.
She teamed her vibrant Atsuko Kudo gown with a pair of pointed boots and styled her platinum blonde locks in elegant curls.
While this is far from her most wild outfit choice, it came as a surprise to be the one she chose for a meeting with Her Majesty.
Mel B and Geri Horner
At the peak of their fame, the Spice Girls met Queen Elizabeth II after the Royal Variety Performance in 1997.
The five beauties certainly didn’t shy away from their band personalities, especially Mel B and Geri Horner, better known as Ginger and Scary Spice.
The former X Factor judge wore a statement leopard print outfit which consisted of a shirt she left unbuttoned, exposing her skimpy bra underneath.
While Geri opted for a plunging white gown that boasted a fairly high split up the front.
The mum-of-two looked sensational in the floor-length satin number but made it daring with the sweetheart-style neckline which emphasised her assets.
David Beckham
Footballing legend David Beckham is a celebrity who has had the pleasure of interacting with the Queen or more than one occasion.
But none of those are more memorable than the time the Manchester United ace met the beloved monarch at the Commonwealth Games in 2002.
The sports icon appeared at the Opening Ceremony in Manchester and knelt before the Queen to help a young girl present her with the Baton.
The former captain of England sported his famous white tips within his bleached hair and carried the white theme all the way down to his trainers.
The dad-of-four opted for a full tracksuit which featured silver sequin embellishments across the front and shoulders.
His casual attire stood out even more thanks to the gigantic bedazzled Great Britain flag which was placed firmly across the back.
Miley Cyrus
Like Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus slipped into a rather daring outfit when she met the Queen at the Royal Variety Performance in 2009.
The former Disney star was 17 when she performed at The Opera House Theatre in front of several members of the royal family.
Miley opted for a floor-length orange gown which boasted an extremely low-cut neckline and small cutouts across her waist.
Speaking about their meeting three years later, The Wrecking Ball hitmaker told a French radio station “meeting the Queen was scarier than the performance” because of the things she had to remember.
