Netflix panders to snowflakes as After Life is hit with trigger warnings

Netflix flakes have walloped After Life with a string of trigger warnings so viewers don’t get upset.

Bosses at the streaming giant are telling fans that the third series of the Ricky Gervais penned smash contains offensive content.

They are warning the season contains “sexual violence, language, sex references, drug misuse, suicide references” and they give it a “maturity rating” of 15.

After Life, which also stars Penelope Wilton, has become a global sensation since launching in 2019.

The latest series has been the UK’s number one watch since it was uploaded to the streaming site on Friday.

Ricky’s performance as suicidal local newspaper reporter Tony Johnson has been praised by critics and fans.

And last year it beat long-running hit The Vicar of Dibley to win the comedy gong at the National Television Award.

Ricky revealed that the third series does contain some near-the-knuckle dialogue and scenes.

He even warned snowflakes not to watch the new series because it could be too shocking for them.

The comic, 60, filmed scenes that he thinks will upset viewers who are easily offended.

It is so outrageous that he is stunned it was given the green light to be aired by Netflix chiefs.

He said: “Series two was bad enough, but in series three, there are two of the cast who do the worst thing I’ve ever seen made for television.

“I was cutting it down and thinking, ‘Even Netflix won’t put that out’.”

But the controversial scene wasn’t cut.

And he added: “The dog does not die. That’s the only spoiler I’ll give!”
