Nicola McLean slams I'm A Celeb stars for 'bottling' calling Matt Hancock a 'd***'

I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! star Nicola McLean blasts ITV campmates for not “grilling” Matt Hancock”.

The 2008 I’m A Celeb star reckons if she went into the jungle she would handle things with Matt totally differently.

In her first I’m A Celeb column, Nicola has unleashed her thoughts on the ITV campmates saying they’ve “bottled it” and have “disappointed” her.

Nicola, 41, ranted: “Charlene White really disappointed me with her Matt Hancock stuff. She made out she was going to interview him like a journalist but she almost seemed to be embarrassed to be asking questions.

“I would have gone in. I would have said ‘you ruined our lives for two years while you were having an affair and not social distancing. Like what the f***, why are you here? You should not be monetising over what you put the country, your wife, and your kids through.’

“I don’t like how Charlene thinks she has gone in, and I’m surprised she didn’t, but she really hasn’t.”

But why does Nicola think this is? Why are the campmates holding back?

She explained: “I think most people in shows and I’ll be honest I’m one of the only people that just say what I think – when I say I’m outspoken it’s because I am. But people get embarrassed and I do understand why with 11 other people and you don’t want to rock the boat, but I don’t care about rocking the boat.

“I’m very comfortable in uncomfortable situations but she’s obviously taken the approach of being nice to him.

“If you’ve got a problem with what he’s done then we are all entitled to have a right to say what we want to our government because he is still a part of that. I’m not saying people need to be nasty to him but I would have said what I thought.

“I absolutely love Boy George and when was crying in the Bush Telegraph about his mum, it was absolutely awful. I don’t want him to leave – but George should have said ‘don’t talk to me, you kept me away from my mum who was going to die.'”

Nicola wished Boy George had confronted Matt

Nicola continued: “The problem is Matt Hancock has come across alright so far. He’s probably an alright guy. His morals are in the f***ing toilet but he seems alright, like when he was singing Ed Sheeran.

“But it doesn’t take away what he did. We were all locked up in our houses – my kids couldn’t play football and we couldn’t work. Our lives were ruined for two years while he was having an affair with his secretary.

“He should be called out on that and if no one does it properly it will be a real letdown.

“They’ve all bottled it when it has come to it and the bookers will be devastated. Yeah, they’ve got the press but they wanted the TV too.

“Charlene will probe him and be like ‘what happened in lockdown?’ Whereas, I’d be like ‘you’re a f***ing p***taker.’

“When my time was right, I would have said to him – not around everyone – but you were a complete d*** in lockdown and I don’t understand why you’re here – how’s your wife? How are your kids? I would have told him about it all.

“Olivia Attwood would have done it if she was still in there too, 100%.”
