Olly Murs leaves The Voice fans in tears as he sings emotional tribute to Caroline Flack

Olly Murs moved The Voice viewers to tears as he sang a song for his late friend Caroline Flack.

The pair were good friends and worked together when they co-presented the X Factor spin-off, Xtra Factor, from 2011 to 2012.

And Olly, 38, was devastated when Love Island presenter Caroline took her own life in 2020, at the age of 40.

People in the audience were visibly moved as Olly sang the song and looked upwards to say: “Love you.”

And viewers also flocked to Twitter to say how touched they were by the heartbreaking tribute.

One fan said they were “choked”, while another said it was a “great tribute” and suggested that Olly could record it as a charity song.

Someone else tweeted: “I’ve just been scrolling through the telly and seen Olly Murs singing Sweet Caroline. I don’t think I can ever recover from this.”

“That was beautiful, Caroline would be proud!” remarked someone else.

Sharing a string of sobbing emojis, one person posted: “Was flicking through the TV channel and then I accidentally saw Olly Murs singing Sweet Caroline and he dedicated the song to his friend, Caroline Flack… that was it.”
