Only Fools and Horses remains one of the most beloved comedy series of all time despite wrapping up filming back in December 2003.
The success of the classic BBC comedy – which launched in 1981 – was partly down to the performances of its core cast including Challis, Nicholas Lyndhurst and David Jason, alongside the guest appearances from many cheeky chaps.

The brilliant writing by John Sullivan is also a huge part of its enduring appeal.
Fans still enjoy some of the London sitcom’s more underrated characters too, including Mickey Pearce. Tricky Mickey was a frenemy of Rodney (Lyndhurst) – often running off with his girlfriends or swindling him out of money.
The arrogant youngster used to make exaggerated boasts about his business success and popularity with women.
Played by Patrick Murray, Mickey appeared in 20 episodes of Only Fools altogether.
The actor also landed parts in big-screen films including Curse of the Pink Panther and The Firm before retiring from acting.
He went on to become a cabbie working in Kent, was a builder at one point and even a professional poker player.
In a 2018 Loose Women appearance alongside John Challis, Murray revealed he’d gone to Thailand for 10 years where he had met his wife, Anong.
However, he was later cruelly separated from Anong and their daughter Josie when the Home Office denied them a visa on the grounds that Patrick didn’t earn enough money to support them.
Patrick worked as a chauffeur in order to get a visa to bring his Thai wife and daughter to the UK.
He said: “I wanted to get her a visa but it was hard so I had to come back here.
“Being out of the industry for so long, the work dried up so I went back to driving an executive car, a Mercedes, to do it.
“I only saw my baby on the phone for two years, I was a Skype dad.”
Happily, he confirmed that he’d been reunited in Britain with his family two weeks before appearing on the show.
