Peter Andre's wife Emily 'works hard' to keep things consistent for Katie Price's kids

Emily Andre opened about her blended family and her relationship with her husband Peter Andre’s kids, whom he shares with his ex-wife Katie Price.

The 32-year-old doctor revealed what it’s like being a stepmother to Peter and Katie Price’s teenage children – Junior 16, and Princess, 14.

Dr Emily revealed she tries not to overstep the boundary when it comes to disciplining her spouse’s children.

Speaking on the matter, she told Closer: “I tend to leave the disciplining up to Pete and often I feel like a big sister, which works really well for us.”

TV personality Peter Andre and Emily MacDonagh had fallen in love in 2012 and later welcomed their two children, seven-year-old daughter Amelia and five-year-old Theodore.

Emily added that she ensures a routine is in place to benefit their blended family.

She said: “I think routine helps kids feel safe in the structure. I try to keep things consistent for them as much as I can.”

“I’m quite strict, especially with stuff Iike manners. Me and Pete are quite similar, really we both are very much up on honesty, manners, kindness.”

Despite Peter’s fathered children, Junior and Princess, often making a public appearance, Peter and Emily have opted to keep their children Amelia and Theodore out of the spotlight by covering their faces in photos online.

Proud mum Emily, 32, happily discussed the achievements of the children despite 2021 being quite a rocky year for the family.

She said all the kids went through some “form of transition in September” and dealt with a lot of change, but the kids ‘flourished’.

She added she’s “proud of them all” for how they dealt with the situation.

Writing in his weekly news! Column in OK! Magazine, Peter said in 2022, he wanted to welcome another addition to his family.

He penned: “At the start of this year, I said 2021 would be the last year I would consider having more children. However, as we spent a lot of time in lockdown, I think we need to put everything back 12 months!”

The ‘Mysterious Girl’ singer did consider his age and set a time limit on having a fifth child.

He added: “So now I’m saying if it’s going to happen, 2022 is the time.

“I’m 49 in February and I’ve always said my limit was until I turn 50, so who knows!”
