Piers Morgan getting 'ultimate revenge' on ITV by poaching staff after abrupt GMB exit

Piers Morgan has apparently had the last laugh after reportedly poaching a bunch of top staff from ITV.

The outspoken presenter stepped down from ITV breakfast show Good Morning Britain last year in the wake of the Meghan Markle row, and is set to launch a new show on Rupert Murdoch’s talkTV.

And according to the Daily Mail he is exacting revenge by taking six members of staff with him.

The publication quoted a source close to Piers as saying: “We’ve nicked all the best people.”

Piers, 56, quit his Good Morning Britain job in March last year after dramatically storming off during an argument about Harry and Meghan’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.

He later announced that he had a new show in the pipeline on a brand new channel , after turning down around 20 job offers.

In October the TV star tweeted a link to some job opportunities on the new show – quipping that “snowflakes” shouldn’t bother filling out an application for any of the roles on offer.

“We’re hiring for my new show & an exciting new TV network,” tweeted Piers.

“We only want the very best – so no annoying woke snowflakes need apply, thanks.”

Piers recently gave fans a glimpse at his new TV studio at The News Building near London Bridge.

The snap shared on Twitter showed a large studio done up in shiny black and white, with huge lights.

“BREAKING: First (very early) glimpse of my spanking new work home,” the broadcaster tweeted.

“If you judge a man by the size of his studio then I’ll be MASSIVE when my new global daily prime-time TV show launches in a few weeks.”

The TV presenter added: “PS relax, those aren’t actually dance-floor lights…”
