Piers Morgan has labelled Donald Trump’s director of communications as a “doofus” for trying to end their interview.
The controversial presenter, 57, slammed Taylor Budowich’s “pathetic” attempt at stopping their interview on tonight’s episode of Uncensored which aired on TalkTV.
Budowich took to Twitter a few days prior and claimed Piers’ 30-second teaser clip of Trump’s interview was “a pathetic attempt to use President Trump as a way to revive the career of a failed television host.”
The former Good Morning Britain host fired back on tonight’s show and called him “incredibly irritating and incompetent.”
He also said he doesn’t feel Budowich should be issuing “those kinds of statements” given his own “pathetic and failed attempt” to stop the interview.

The presenter then played footage from the interview where someone behind the camera can be heard saying: “We’re over an hour in” to which Piers replies: “Yeah, sorry. I’m just wrapping up.”
The same voice then says “You’ve said that’s the last question four times today.”
After showing the clip, Piers swiped at Budowich and said: “All I know, it’s because of your ineptitude that your boss President Trump wasn’t very happy.
“And I would say, that’s more of a problem for your employment status than it is for me and my show.”

Addressing Trump’s “explosive” walkout, Piers said: “The truth is, Trump clearly left very irritated, partly about the fact that you set this secret dossier of stuff I’d written about him before, but I think mainly because of his incredibly incompetent Director of Communications.”
The fiery presenter went on to say: “I wouldn’t have called our promo a rigged promo, you did leave pretty angry, it certainly wasn’t a happy ending.”

However, fans have taken to Twitter to express their fury over Trump’s “explosive” walkout.
One user wrote: “Ending of that Trump interview in your promos was complete bait @piersmorgan. What a sham. #piersuncensored.”
A second penned: “How overhyped was that interview. Expecting fireworks but ended up with a damp squib.”
Another social media user said: “So it’s gone from him ‘storming off’ to ‘not exactly ending on the friendliest of terms’. Bore off. #Fakenews.”
