Prince Harry 'owes Queen an apology' after 'heartbreak', claims Meghan Markle's sister

Prince Harry’s sister-in-law, Samantha Markle, has hit out at the Duke, claiming he owes an apology to the Queen.

Since stepping down, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have delivered a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, during which, they claimed Meghan had been subjected to racial comments by members of the Royal Family.

Harry claimed that the comments did not come from his grandmother, the Queen, or the late Prince Philip, while Prince William explained the royal family were “very much not a racist family”.

Speaking exclusively to the Daily star, Samantha, 56, said: “I hope Her Majesty has some form of apology from Harry so that she can go to rest not feeling like there was unfinished business, or she’s not broken-hearted.

“I hope that Harry can think about her and everything that she has been to him and fix that.”

It comes after Harry, 37, and his wife, Meghan Markle, 40, secretly jetted into Windsor Castle for an audience with Her Majesty, 96, ahead of the Invictus Games.

Harry had previously returned to the UK on two occasions, for the funeral of Prince Philip and the unveiling of a statue of his late mum, Diana, Princess of Wales.

Meanwhile, Meghan hadn’t returned to the UK for two years, since announcing their shock decision to step down as senior working royals in January 2020.

The couple later moved to Canada before setting up home in Montecito, California, with their two children, Archie Harrison and Lilibet Diana.

Harry and Meghan were notably absent from the memorial service for Prince Philip in March 2022, over security fears.

A spokesperson said the couple wouldn’t be attending as they are “unable to return to his home” as they say it is too dangerous for the Sussexexs.

While they went on to say they fund a “private security team” but their own security “cannot replicate the necessary police protection needed” in the UK.

Harry’s team claim that his private security guards would not be able to provide the same level of police protection offered by the UK state.

This didn’t go down too well with Samantha who fumed: “He should have hired more of his own security, they live a lavish lifestyle, they can afford security, it’s ridiculous.

“Security for a weekend of something is not that expensive and I’m pretty sure they have security now, it would be so easy for him to pay for his own security.”
