But it’s fair to say eagle-eyed viewers were sent into a frenzy after they spotted a clear drip connected to the 69-year-old which led down the side of the sofa.
During the Channel 4 series, fans took to Twitter to voice their concerns for the presenter’s mother online, as one person tweeted: “@Rylan is Mum ok? Saw the drip on.”
After the loving son was hit with a wave of worried messages from his adoring fans, he addressed the visible medical aid online.
He replied: “Had a lot of people ask, mum is fine, she has a tpn line for a feed…to do with her Chrones. V normal. Thanks for asking” which he signed off with two kisses.
It comes after Rylan revealed he installed cameras into his mum’s home to that he can keep an eye on her at all times as her health continues to deteriorate.
It is understood that Linda now has just 70cm left of her bowel instead of the usual 2 meters and has since been fitted with a stoma bag following her latest major surgery to help battle her Chron’s diagnosis.
While she is a lot more comfortable after the operation removed the pain she was suffering with, the adoring mum admitted she’s “not well a lot of the time” which has left her son continuously worried about her.
Speaking at the time, the Celebrity Gogglebox star explained: “I’ve got cameras in Mum’s house, so I can see her and make sure she’s OK.”
While discussing how Linda has adjusted her life to the ongoing medical condition, she told The Mirror that she needs to be close to a bathroom at all times.
She told the publication: “I have nurses come round every morning and evening to give me a special feed. I’ve had Chron’s since I was 30 and used to be in so much pain I’d be crying all the time.
“It was unbearable – I felt like I wanted to get a knife and punch my stomach open.”

She added: “I’ve had three major bowel operations, and with the last one I got a stoma bag. Now I don’t have pain, which is a relief, but I’ve got have nutrition put in me.
“Everything goes straight through where I’ve hardly got any bowl left. I’ve only got 70cm of bowel now, so if I have a drink of water I’ve got to empty the stoma straight away.
“My life is in the bathroom. I don’t know how long it will be until the doctors can’t do any more. I feel alright, but I get down because I can’t go out and I can’t do what I want to do.”
