Sir Tom Jones in hot water with The Voice bosses – because he can't stop swearing

Coaches on The Voice UK are in hot water over bad language… and Sir Tom Jones is the worst offender.

They often turn the air blue in front of the studio audience and sometimes even when the show is being broadcast live.

Bosses have warned them to keep it clean on the new series, which kicked off on ITV last night.

Tom said: “I do it the most. They tell us to be careful, but you forget you are miked up. That’s my problem. I forget I’ve got a bloody microphone on.

“We are chatting away, thinking the camera is not on or it’s on another person. You forget there is always one on you.”

He added: “I was brought up not to swear in front of ladies. But with fellas it’s every other word – sometimes even in the middle of a word… you can say ‘ri-f***ing-diculous!’”

Fellow coach Anne-Marie said: “It is hard not to swear. There are kids in the audience and we forget they can hear us. Producers tell us off.

“I’m glad they get to edit it a little bit. But then there are the live shows.”

Co-star Olly Murs said: “You can only imagine some of the s**t we talk about.”

The new series of The Voice UK kicked off on Saturday, September 3, with the coaches back alongside host Emma Willis to find the next singing sensation.

There’s been a bumper wait for the new series, after the 10th series finished in March last year, with Craig Eddie crowned the winner.

Craig, who was on Anne-Marie’s team, broke Olly Murs’ winning streak.

The cheeky chap won in 2019 and 2020 with Molly Hocking and Blessing Chitapa.
