Solemn Amanda Holden arrives at Buckingham Palace to pay respects to late Queen

Amanda Holden has arrived at Buckingham Palace to pay her respects to the late Queen Elizabeth II.

On Thursday (September 8), Buckingham Palace announced the devastating news about the monarch’s passing at the age of 96 in Balmoral Castle.

Since the news was announced thousands of fans of the the Queen travelled to one of her many palaces to lay flowers and emotional messages outside her walls as a sign of respect.

Now, the mum-of-two has joined the rest of the public as she marched down to Buckingham Palace as a sign of respect for Her Royal Highness.

While many TV hosts across the broadcasting channels opted to wear black on air, the Britain’s Got Talent judge, 51, decided to wear an elegant royal blue mid-length dress which featured a peplum hem.

Her gorgeous dress featured a matching statement navy-blue belt which cinched in her minuscule waist and emphasised her hourglass figure as she walked through the streets of London.

She styled the gown with a pair of matching navy-blue heeled pumps which the radio presenter accessorised with a slew of silver bangles to compliment her statement silver belt.

Amanda finished the look with a pair of black oversized sunglasses to shield her eyes from the cameras as she made her way to the palace after presenting her Heart Radio Breakfast show just a stone’s throw away from the royal residence.

The TV star straightened her luscious long locks which she parted in the centre as the cascaded down her back as she paid her respects to her late Royal Highness.

A procession of 71 horses, 36 pulling First World War-era 13-pounder field guns has cantered into Hyde Park in central London ahead of the Queen’ death gun salute.

It comes after the TV personality paid a moving tribute to the late monarch after the heartbreaking announcement on Thursday.

Alongside a photo of the Queen sitting on the throne, she wrote: “I think we all thought out Queen would live forever…

“Her grace, good humour and indomitable spirit.. embodied everything that made Great Britain, Great. I just can’t imagine our country without her…

“My thoughts are with her family #godsavethequeen,” she concluded.
