Strictly Come Dancing professional Giovanni Pernice couldn’t help but gush over his 2021 winning co-star Rose Ayling-Ellis on her birthday.
In celebration of Rose turning 28 on Thursday (November 17), Giovanni shared a series of adorable videos of Rose on his Instagram Stories – the first of which showed her eating pea soup and looking distinctly unimpressed with the flavour.
Underneath, Gio wrote: “Happy bday!!!!”

Next came a video of Rose rocking out at home in a pair of navy blue starry pyjama bottoms and a black t-shirt, with her hair tucked into a bun atop her head.
The EastEnders star appeared to be getting crafty, flattening some papers underneath a stack of cardboard, before grunting and leaning back to crack her back.
Giovanni cheekily captioned that clip: “To this young…” before going on to brand Rose “beautiful” in the next clip, which showed her croaking the word ‘hello’ with her face close to the camera, before pulling a cheeky grin.
Giovanni wrote: “And beautiful lady.”
Lastly was an adorable clip from last year’s Strictly, which showed Giovanni and Rose in their magician outfits.
Giovanni looked suave as ever in a black silk button-up, before Rose popped up from beside him in a sparkly top hat and black vest top – looking rather flustered with her hair falling out of its ponytail.
Giovanni finished off his message by telling Rose: “Have a magical day!” and adding a Happy Birthday sticker.
As the clip ended, the pair could be seen gazing into each other’s eyes during their backstage Strictly video – before both collapsing into sweet giggles.

Rose, of course, couldn’t help responding – sharing all of Giovanni’s videos to her own Instagram Stories as she wrote back: “Why am I not surprised of you posting [the] worst videos of me being an idiot?” accompanied by three cry-laughing emojis.
Still, she told Giovanni: “Thank you!” with a face-palm emoji – and was clearly touched by the adorable tribute.
Plenty more of her Strictly co-stars were on hand to congratulate Rose on turning 28, including Bake Off’s John Whaite and former BBC Breakfast host Dan Walker.
