During an exclusive Facebook Live chat with Daily Star, HRVY revealed how he was sent to a private audition before he was confirmed as part of the 2020 line-up.

He explained: “At the beginning when you first audition – well, they call you up and ask you if you want to do it and you say, ‘Yeah’.

“And then you go to like an audition where they just kind of like do a few steps with you just to see if you can actually move at all.

“I remember doing it with Luba a year before, and it was just strange because you just went into this random room and you were just doing, ‘One, two, step. One, two, step’.”

He confessed that the process itself only took five or ten minutes to see whether the celebrities who had agreed to take part in the show were fit to dance throughout the 14-week series.

The chart-topper added: “I did it for like five minutes, and then they said, ‘Thank you so much, that’s great’ and I said, ‘Is that it?’ and they said, ‘Yeah’ and I said ‘Brilliant’.

“That was the audition I suppose. It was just a really quick session just to see if you could actually move your feet.”
