Strictly's John Whaite launches OnlyFans as he moves saucy snaps away from Instagram

Strictly Come Dancing star and Great British Bake Off winner John Whaite has posted a lengthy statement explaining why he decided to create an OnlyFans account.

Taking to Instagram, John cleared up any speculation, issuing his statement “before anyone gets the wrong impression”.

He confirmed he would not be “doing porn” on the adult site, but instead plans on using the paywalled service to make the most of his gym content.

In the caption of a photo of himself, John started with a disclaimer: “Before anyone gets the wrong impression please let me reassure you that I am not doing porn.”

He listed his reasons for moving to OnlyFans, saying that he believes his “workout videos have a value” and his gym progress snaps would now be “appropriately situated in an area where age-restriction is better handled”, and he plans to push branded content and food creativity on his Instagram account instead.

Despite detaching himself from the sexier side of OnlyFans, he added: “I do have friends who do porn and think sex work should be respected, but that’s a different story!”

John explained that his Only Fans account would let him post cheeky gym progress snaps whilst also protecting “the eyes of younger audiences.”

John went on to “own this story”, snubbing anyone who would twist the information into a “salacious and scandalous headline or piece of gossip”.

He confirmed that despite the content on his OnlyFans being a continuation of some of the content he has posted in Instagram, he felt he had a “refreshed regard” to the value of the content and wanted to “protect the eyes of younger audiences”.

John was partnered up with Johannes Radebe when he took part in Strictly Come Dancing

His followers took to the comments to commend his clarification.

One wrote: “Respect. Cogent argument. Makes sense. And I like your support of and respect for sex workers – it’s really important.”

Whilst another added: “Eloquently put! Good for you John!”

The 33-year-old was a part of the first all-male couple on Strictly Come Dancing with professional dancer Johannes Radebe.
