Strictly Come Dancing star Richie Anderson has spoken out following claims he’s not getting on with professional partner Giovanni Pernice.

The 34-year-old radio presenter took to his Instagram page on Sunday to share a video of them together alongside a sweet message.

Underneath the clip of them dancing the Cha Cha Cham, he penned: “A moment I’ll never forget and so grateful I got to share it with Giovanni.

“Plenty of feedback from the judges to take on board, can’t wait to get back in the rehearsal studio tomorrow and put it into practice. Thank you Gio and Strictly.”

It comes after rumours the pair “haven’t clicked” since being paired together.

A source told The Sun that 2021 winner Giovanni was become frustrated with his new partner.

The insider explained: “‘The pair haven’t clicked. Richie is so swept up by the whole experience that he is talking 100 words a minute, and it can be hard for Giovanni.

“He has told pals that Richie talks instead of listening during training, and it is frustrating.”

“Giovanni thinks Richie has real potential in the competition.”

However, another source told MailOnline that the rumours were not true.

They said: “Talk of them not getting on is nonsense.

“They are having such a laugh and were thrilled at the reaction on Saturday night.”

For the first time in the show’s history, there are two ame-sex couples performing in the same series.

As well as Giovanni and Richie, with professional dancer Karen Hauer has been paired with comedian Jayde Adams.

Both couples scored 23 out of a possible 40 from the judges for their first dances.

All pairs were safe in Week One but at least one couple will be heading home this weekend.
