Susanna Reid shares sweet snap with Kate Garraway as she praises her for documentary

Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid shared a sweet snap of herself and her colleague Kate Garraway while singing her praises online.

GMB star Kate, 54, was nominated for Network Presenter of the Year at the Royal Television Society (RTS) Awards and attended the event alongside Susanna, 51, on Wednesday evening.

Sharing the black and white selfie with her legion of followers online. Kate and Susanna could be seen smiling together gleefully.

Although the snap wasn’t in colour, both ladies looked sensational in the close-up snap as their happiness radiated through the screen.

Captioning the photo, Susanna paid a sweet tribute to her co-star’s touching documentary Kate Garraway: Caring For Derek which aired on ITV this week.

She penned: “Big week for our @kategarraway with the broadcast of her incredible documentary #CaringForDerek. Always smiling, always full of love and always my winner #RTSAwards.”

Fans were clearly moved by the star’s caption and heartwarming snap and shared their views in the comment section.

One fan wrote: “Just watched it and cried for what they are going through. Praying for Dereks recovery and strength for Kate and family going forward. Inspirational!”

Kate’s follow-up documentary gave fans insight into the care needed for her husband Derek Draper after he was critically ill in hospital with Covid-19.

Now that Derek has returned to the family’s London home, the GMB presenter displayed the 24-hour care that is needed for Derek to keep him alive.

Although her husband has made progress, Kate also shared that his health is often inconsistent.

The mother-of-two previously explained: “Because of his extreme health needs, he has 24 hour care. Someone has to be awake during the night and someone has to be awake during the day.”
