The Big Breakfast returned to Channel 4 today – headed up by AJ Odudu and Mo Gilligan – and although some viewers were overjoyed, others had a major complaint.
With the 90s show returning to our screens for the first time since 2002, the revamped show returned on Saturday (August 13).
Fans flocked to Twitter to discuss the return of the classic show, with many loving the fact it had returned – but some thought it was “too loud” and filled with “shouting”.
Some even “switched off” two minutes into the programme.

“Ok so I lasted 2 mins into the new #bigbreakfast and had to turn it off, why all the shouting on a Saturday morning?!” said one.
Another echoed: “Off you go #bigbreakfast. Stop shouting!!”
A third person said: “5 mins in to the new @bigbreakfastC4 and had to switch off.. why are they all screaming and shouting ?? shut up at this time of the day #channel4 #bigbreakfast.”
“Stop Shouting ‘You Have Microphones’ #BigBreakfast,” added a fourth.
A fifth added: “Stop blooming shouting, it’s so annoying!!!”
While a sixth defended the show by saying: “#BigBreakfast was always loud, they’re not shouting though hahaha bless you all”
This comes as hosts AJ and Mo claimed that they aim to bring back the “crazy anarchy” of the show.
The show originally aired 1992 to 2002 and is back for the summer.
In its prime, it aired more than 2,400 episodes in its lengthy run, and became known for its trademark house on Fish Island in East London.
The likes of Chris Evans, Gaby Roslin, Paula Yates, Mark Lamarr and Denise Van Outen, all presented the show in the 90s – and now AJ and Mo are trying their hand.
Some viewers were loving the show, with many taking to Twitter to gush over the reboot.
“Nice to see good old tv creeping back to our screens (as TV these days is nothing but repeats & poor quality shows) not quite sure what to make of the show so far, it’ll never beat the original 1990s show(s),” said one honest fan.
Another swooned: “I’m enjoying this. #bigbreakfast.”
While a third added: “Loved this show when I was a kid! I am here for it! Saturdays have gotten better again!”
The Big Breakfast airs every Saturday at 10am on Channel 4 and All4.
