The Masked Singer’s Joss Stone has revealed that during childbirth, her uterus “split open” and she could “feel everything”.
The 35-year-old songstress has spoken out about her agonising 32 hour labour where her uterus split open when giving birth to her second child Shackleton.
Joss and her partner Cody welcomed their second born child in October, and just like baby Violet’s birth in January 2021, Shackleton’s wasn’t smooth sailing either.

The singing sensation, who recently appeared on The Masked Singer, was forced to have a C-section almost two years ago because of Violet being in the breach position.
Breach means that the baby didn’t move down prior to birth, and didn’t have its head moved down – instead it would have been bottom first or feet first.
And just two months ago she suffered a split uterus while giving birth to her first born son.
Going into labour, the Nashville-based singer had a tough time delivering Shackleton.
Joss was warned that because she’d had a C-section before that there was a low chance of a uterine rupture.
But after after hours of attempting to deliver Shackleton traditionally, she felt an intense pain.
She also spoke of how she remembers hearing the monitor of her baby’s heartbeat slow down.
The obstetric emergency team were then brought in due to a rupture – although at the time, Joss was unaware that her uterus had split open.
During the painful 32-hour labour, her son’s head was stuck in her abdomen.
Speaking to The Sun, she said: “You only know it’s happened because the baby’s heart rate plummets, and at that point, the doctors only have around 14 minutes to get your baby out alive.”
Despite the difficult childbirths she had endured and doctors advising against Joss from carrying babies herself in the future, she is still adamant on having a big family.
Last October Joss sadly miscarried – months after Violet’s birth, and month’s before Shackleton’s entry into the world.

The singer said: “Being a mum is better than anything else in the world – you can take away all the jobs, the travelling, the songs… I don’t need any of that. Just give me my babies and I’m fine.
“I still want loads of kids, but I won’t be able to birth them naturally and would need a C-section, though my doctor said: ‘If you were my wife, I wouldn’t let you’.
“But I’m still happy to adopt as many kids as I can. I don’t mind if I make them myself or not.”
