The One Show's Alex Jones red faced over comments which 'aren't for broadcast'

Alex Jones was left totally embarrassed as Joe Lycett confessed to speaking about the host a lot to pals but wouldn’t repeat what he’d said on air – during Friday’s episode (June 24) of The One Show.

The 33-year-old 8 Out Of 10 Cats star had attempted to call out Alex’s co-star Ronan Keating in an interview when the Irish star cleverly turned the tables.

After the interview got off to a bad start with Alex messing up the title of Joe’s new tour – More More More How Do You Lycett – the comedian managed to steal a moment to call out his grievances with the former boyband member.

Joe said: “In fact I’ve got a bone to pick with you Ronan about when I played at the St David’s Cardiff Hall, well you had been playing there I think the night before?”

“Yeah,” responded Ronan.

Alex seemed to be lost for words

Looking a Alex, Joe added while shaking his head: “Well the state of that dressing room.”

“It wasn’t me,” exclaimed the Irish star before hitting back: “Speaking of that gig, because a friend of mine went to that show and they said that you talked about our Alex three times.”

“Yeah I do mention the One Show and you in the show yeah,” responded Joe.

Who then added: “In a very nice way.”

Joe made the admission on Friday’s programme

Looking puzzled, Alex asked: “In what context?”

“Its definitely not braodcastable,” interjected the comedian.

“Oh my goodness Joe,” chirped back a stunned and red faced Alex.

“In a nice way,” protested Joe, “Ok, good, well that’s ok,” said the Welsh television star before swiftly moving the segment on.

Alex has become quite popular with BBC One fans in recent times – with many fans – including Joe – that can’t get enough of her.

More recently, Alex shared insight into her home life as a mum-of-three which was a rarity for the TV star.

Taking to Instagram, she shared a family snap showing her brood that includes Teddy, five, Kit, three, and baby Annie during the morning chaos.

The host penned: “Morning.” The brothers were dressed vibrantly in waterproof jackets and helmets.
