Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne may be known as “The Prince Of Darkness”, but the Osbourne family have had their fair share of paranormal encounters.
Son Jack Osbourne has since embarked on a career as a paranormal investigator, after he and sister Kelly experienced activity in their home growing up.
He has even tried to convince his parents of activity that has been caught on camera – from poltergeists to possible UFO sightings and the existence of Bigfoot.

As TV icon Sharon Osbourne celebrates her 70th birthday today (October 9), Daily Star takes a look at the first family of rock’s paranormal encounters.
Beverly Hills apparition
Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne claimed that his and Sharon’s Beverly Hills mansion is “filled with evil”, after he saw a shadowy apparition in the corner of their bedroom.
Speaking on their Discovery+ TV show, The Osbournes Want To Believe, Ozzy claimed that mystery figure haunts him in bed, saying: “This house I am living in now I get some peculiar feelings in this f***ing place.
“I really do. I think something heavy has happened in this house, a murder or something bad.”
However, Sharon is less convinced about the hauntings and said the ghosts would have to make a bigger impact if she was going to believe.
“He [Ozzy] woke up saying a figure in the bedroom and he could see somebody in the bedroom.
“No, I could not see it. He was like ‘look over there.’ There was nobody there.”
She added: “It would have to sing and dance and perform in front of me to believe.”
However speaking to TMZ, Sharon did say that son Jack had shown her some clips of poltergeist activity as part of their show, which she could not explain.
“It’s a case of each film that he’s shown us, Ozzy and I would go, ‘oh they’ve done this trickery or that trickery’,” said Sharon.
“There are some films where we don’t believe there was any trickery involved, so we were very impressed, put it that way, on some of the pieces of film. Especially about poltergeists.”
UFOs
Despite being convinced by the footage of poltergeist activity, Sharon has found footage of UFOs a little harder to believe.
Speaking to TMZ, she said: “I always say the same thing about UFOs and ghosts – until I see them, I’ll say yes I believe, but I don’t not believe. I need to see it myself.”
When asked about a possible UFO sighting in Long Beach, California during the interview with TMZ, Sharon also explained that she had seen the footage as her son Jack is a believer.
“Yes I saw it. Jack showed me, and of course, Jack has been a believer in UFOs his entire life. I know…it’s very odd,” she said.
However, she aired a note of caution, adding that she was not sure if the footage was authentic or not as she had not seen the suspected UFO in real life.
“Because you don’t know! It could be someone tricking a piece of film. It could be anything – the sun going on something,” said Sharon.
“There’s so many different things it could be, so, I need to see it for myself.”
Jack and Kelly’s haunted childhood home
Sharon and Ozzy’s children Jack and Kelly claimed that they experienced paranormal activity at their British home when they were children.
Jack, who has since launched his own paranormal investigation series including Portals To Hell, explained on the upcoming Discovery+ special Jack Osbourne’s Haunting Homecoming that he encountered the activity when he was off school sick with his sister.
The siblings heard sounds in their Grade II listed home, which was formerly a hospital for the mentally ill, and they became “convinced” that someone – or something – was coming to attack them.
Jack can be heard saying in the programme: “When Kelly and I were kids, we were off school through illness and home alone. We were watching TV in my parents’ bedroom.
“The floorboard on that landing makes a very distinct sound and we heard someone walking along – very heavy-footed.”
He adds: “Whatever was making those footsteps was rattling the cupboard doors along the corridor. We were so convinced the footsteps were coming for us, we opened a window and thought about jumping.”
They subsequently hid under their parent’s bed until their mother Sharon returned home.
However, Jack is hoping to discover if anything does haunt his former childhood home in the new special, which is currently airing on streaming service Discovery+.
Jack and Kelly’s ‘Night Of Terror’
The Osbourne siblings have got more than they bargained for, after embarking on a series of paranormal investigations for their TV specials – Night Of Terror.
Their first investigation together saw Jack and Kelly investigate The Heritage Square Museum in Los Angeles, which is believed to be a haunted hotspot in the city.
The area features several Victorian era houses, which all have a sad and sinister history associated with them.
Speaking about the investigation, Jack told Forbes: “Kelly definitely got into it towards the end. She got really fired up.
“I told her this is a one in a million type of investigation.
“I probably went on 20 or 30 investigations before I had anything close to what happened that night.”
Kelly even got her first inclinations that she might have psychic abilities during the investigation, telling The Wrap: “I’m still coming to terms with excepting that I may have abilities in this world.
“I am at that fine line of ‘close the door and run away from it’ or take that leap of faith and really dive into it.”
That’s not all, as their second investigation on the supposedly haunted RMS Queen Mary brought Jack and Kelly into contact with paranormal activity – including heavy doors swinging on their own and lights coming on in rooms that have no power running to them.
Talking about the RMS Queen Mary, Jack told The Wrap: “It was just so crazy. I was like, wait, is this really happening? It was creepy.”
He continued: “It was an electric room, and so there’s no ventilation in there that could allow a draft or anything like that, because it has to be kind of a weatherproof kind of box. So, yeah, that was really surreal.
“And then just stuff like going into the room where there’s no power on and a light came on.”
Jack Osbourne’s haunted home
Jack has embarked on a career as a paranormal investigator, sharing footage on programmes including Fright Club, Portals To Hell and The Osbournes Want To Believe.
However, speaking to Rolling Stone Magazine, he revealed that his home in Los Angeles has had its fair share of paranormal activity in recent months.
“In the last six months, I’ve been having a lot of scary, strange things happening in my house,” he said.
“My girlfriend keeps seeing a figure at night. I woke up and a woman was standing over me.”
The star believes that maybe some of the activity from his investigations may have followed him home, adding: “My house is brand-new.
“I don’t know if things follow me home; I just think whatever’s out there knows that I’m looking for it.”
